Overview
Patient Care Associate, Substance Abuse, Detox & Recovery, FT/PT Day & Night Shifts Available
Due to expansion in New Jersey, Signet Health is actively interviewing Patient Care Associates for our program at Valley Health in Ridgefield, NJ.
The Patient Care Associate is a key position that provides direct patient care, monitors patients' physical and emotional needs, and administratively supports the program. Provides technical support to physicians and nurses. Assists professional staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care to include performing EKGs, finger stick glucose, phlebotomy, wound care, obtaining and recording vital signs, and performing materials management and maintenance as directed by the professional staff and in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Maintains current CPR card/certification. Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant and/or Patient Care Technician license/certification or enrolled in the second year of Nursing school with the Fundamentals of Nursing course passed and completed. BLS certified through American Heart Association. Experience with substance misuse treatment preferred.
