Overview

Behavioral Health Manager needed - Springfield, IL

Signet Health is working with Memorial Behavioral Health Center, Springfield, IL, to recruit and fill their Behavioral Health Manager position for their outpatient program.  We are looking for a qualified and organized Illinois licensed social worker to provide oversight of the outpatient behavioral health program providing mental health services to adults, senior adults, and children & adolescents.  We can work with LCPC or LCSW certifications.  

This is a hospital position with all benefits and salary provided by the hospital.  Memorial Behavioral Health Center offers generous benefits and PTO, on-site childcare, with a competitive starting salary range of $77k - $118,560k, depending on qualifications and experience. Days only, no weekends or on-call.  Good growth opportunities as well.  

Specific responsibilities 

Your specific duties as the Director of Behavioral Health will include:

  • Overseeing all day-to-day operations of the outpatient program
  • Hands-on supervision for approximately 20 staff
  • Experience leading program development with short-term and long-term goals
  • Ensuring compliance with hospital, state, federal, and licensing agency regulatory standards
  • Establishing relationships with community leaders and service providers to promote/foster the positive reputation of the program

Requirements/Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • Unencumbered Illinois Master's level license - LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent. 
  • Experience with program development and supervision
  • Experience working with patients of varying ages and backgrounds
  • Be able to pass background and drug screen
  • Have or be able to obtain IM + CANS certification within 30days of hire.
  • Management experience in community mental health; knowledge of community agencies; familiarity with Illinois mental health services and the child welfare state system; very helpful.
